ABOUT FERNS AVIAN SAFE HAVEN

Birds make up one of the leading groups of relinquished animals in America. The average cockatoo goes through 2 homes in their lifetimes. Our goal is to give animals a safe home to live out their life. That is how Ferns Avian Safe Haven came into creation.

OUR PROGRAMS

Above all else, at Ferns Avian Safe Haven our focus is on saving and improving the lives of animals. This commitment can be found in everything we do—from advocacy and education to rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

PRO-FLIGHT

When you think of wild birds, you think of flight. As a kid our dream was to fly, so why would we take that away from our feathered family members? We advocate for flight, and we are highly against clipping for various reasons. We aim to educate and help any who are interested.

REHABILITATION

We are dedicated to stepping up our Rehabilitation efforts, which is by no means an easy feat. But through cooperation and community involvement, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We have plans for aviary construction in 2022/2023 to accommodate multiple flocks.

RESCUE

With our mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies to make our Rescue efforts more effective. Contact us to learn more about our team’s hard work and commitment to this cause.
